6 – Get a certificate

To be able to get a certificate, your boat needs to be officially measured and you have to be a member of the MYCS – radiosailing.ch. Once the boat is measured it is your responsibility as an owner that the boat comply with the current class rules.

New boat – If you have bought a new boat it may have been measured by the builder and you have the measurement forms (with official stamp) delivered with the boat. If not you will have to have it measured by an official measurer (See „How to get an IOM measured„). The signed and stamped measurement forms should be sent to IOMSUI and a new certificate will be issued.

Used boat with certificate – If you have bought a used boat, Swiss or from abroad, the certificate that came with it seized to be valid upon change of ownership. To be able to obtain a new certificate you must send the old certificate to IOMSUI and a new certificate will be issued.

Used boat without certificate – You will have to have it measured by an official measurer (See „How to get an IOM measured„). The signed and stamped measurement forms should be sent to IOMSUI and a new certificate will be issued.

Get your certificate – The measurement forms must be sent in original to IOMSUI. However, to be able to handle the certification promptly we will ask you to use the form below to send in your scanned measurement forms (PDF is the best file format).
